Both. We are a licensed general contractor and a licensed plumber, and our design staff has extensive experience with cabinet and tile layout, building and plumbing codes, and programs like SketchUp and AutoCAD. That makes us a one-stop shop: from the first drawing to the final walkthrough, we handle everything in between.
Once the wall board and shower pan are in, we apply a secondary crack-isolation and waterproof membrane across the entire shower surface. It stops the substrate saturating over time, protects against leaks and cracks, and gives the tile a surface to move on if the house settles later.
The days of porous, cement-based grout are over. We use a high-quality latex-based grout that is permanently sealed and contains a bio-block to fight mold and mildew, so it stands up over time and keeps maintenance simple. Do not let imitators fool you with standard grout and latex additives.
Yes. Contractors in North Carolina must offer a one-year warranty on services performed, and we add a second year on top of it. It is a promise that we stand behind what we say and do. We want you to be a client for life, and we treat you, your home and your project accordingly.
We keep the majority of your project in-house. Design and project management are our own employees, as is much of the installation including tile, paint, drywall and carpentry, and we even staff our own licensed plumber. Some work still calls for outside specialists, such as stone fabrication, electrical or a specialty trade.
It depends honestly on the scope. Smaller projects can be finished in six weeks or less, while full remodels with structural changes take longer. Weather, mold, rot, damaged materials, changes in scope and backorders can all cause delays, and we promise a realistic timeframe for your project rather than an optimistic one.
Fill in our form and a designer will call to discuss the project and arrange a site visit. After the consultation we prepare a detailed scope of work and itemised estimate for you to review. If you want to move ahead into design and selections we collect a 20% retainer, then once your materials are in hand we set a date and hand you to your project manager.
We have two showrooms in the Triangle: 5820 Triangle Dr in Raleigh and 1873 Lake Pine Dr in Cary. Both are private design studios open by appointment, so you get a designer to yourself along with thousands of tile, countertop, cabinet, lighting, plumbing, hardware and flooring options to choose from.
